"Spikedrivers" is the name of at least five groups. 1. Spikedrivers (formed 1992) is a British blues and roots trio based in North London, consisting of Ben Tyzack on guitars, harmonica, and main vocal, Constance Redgrave on bass guitar, vocals and percussion, and Maurice McElroy on drums, udu drum, cajon, percussion and vocals. Ben Tyzack formed the band when he moved back to London from the US. There were various lineups and two CDs, 'Delta Boogie' and 'Whisky River Blues' were released. Neither is currently available but a compilation of the original songs is planned for release in 2008. Constance Redgrave and Maurice McElroy joined in 2000 and the lineup has been stable since then. They have released four CDs: Delta Roots (2001), Blue Trash (2003), Ain't It Real (2005) and Live At High Barn (2008).
