Born in Canada, but raised in Ireland for a large part of his life, Stephen Fearing's music is painted by a deep respect for his homeland, and told through deeply personal folk songs. Up until 2006 Fearing has released a total of seven albums, from 1988's 'Out to Sea', all the way up to the recent release, 'Yellowjacket'. Fearing's distinct musical style is punctuated by his method of playing an accompanying beat on his guitar as he strums it. He has toured Canada numerous times and worked with a number of Canadian musicians ranging from Sarah McLachlan to Colin Linden. Fearing has been nominated for five Juno Awards. When he isn't working on his solo career, Fearing also works with the band Blackie and the Rodeo Kings.
