Stuart Cullen is a solo artist who writes and records his songs at home, using a computer and basic equipment. He describes his bedroom as his studio. His music draws on indie and pop, with earlier work rooted in pop punk.
Before working alone, Cullen plays with The Standards and previously with Something Big. He continues to want to collaborate with friends on recordings and live shows, and he works with them on a number of projects.
His influences include Paul Simon, Ben Kweller, the Get Up Kids, Weezer, the Beatles, Queen, Lagwagon, the Postal Service, Daft Punk, Phoenix, David Bowie and 1980s pop and rock anthems.
