Syd Bozko had a stint with other musicians around the Manchester area before getting the final line up together. David Cunningham originally formed the band. After being in one previous band in his teens he decided to get his musical career back on track. Knowing his younger brother was in a band and could play bass they decided to try out. David then asked friend Mark Barlow to join the band in 2006. After years of strumming guitars together they had a great connection. Paul Cunningham then officially joined. So in August 2007 the band took off on a journey of never looking back. In August 2007, they recorded their first demo CD and then decided to hit the gigging circuit. They say they have no particular influence as such, just that they "like making good music". The band have been quite successful in recent months, from being played on national radio to packing out top Manchester venues. Syd Bozko remains to take Manchester by storm and are fast becoming the talk of the city as the expectations have been laid down and they never fail to raise that bar. Their music would best be described as Indie/Rock but with a hint of the kind of catchiness to it that will have people buzzing over them as soon as they hear them.
