My name is Tez Locke. I am a Singer/Songwriter based in the beautiful county of Devonshire in the UK's Westcountry. I have been writing and playing in bands or flying solo since the early 70's. In recent years I decided to focus on honing my skills as a songwriter, both music and lyrics and as a result of this creative focus I now have a catalogue of some 65+ original songs. A selection of these can be heard @ https://soundcloud.com/tez-locke I tend towards a 'Country' feel these days to express myself, but cross over into other genres such as Pop, Reggae, Folk and Rock. I am unsigned and produce my 'home-made' recordings to send to publishers in the hope of someone out there in 'the biz' pricking their ears up at a potentially marketable song. It's a bit of a 'needle in a haystack' thing, but I live in hope! I frequently perform my songs live and always get a positive reaction to them which is why I keep on keeping on. It is not uncommon for a member of the audience to seek me out after a gig and remark on how they were moved by the lyric of a particular song and there is no greater compliment to a songwriter than that. In fact, it is because of such reactions that I absolutely believe in my songs. I believe that given over to professional musicians and producers they could really stand up and be counted. I just have to get them to the right ears at the right time and that's the hard part. Lucky for me I'm a 'glass half full' kinda guy and I believe in synchronicity. I write songs because it is my gift, it comes naturally. It is my passion and my way of expressing myself. One day I hope to be able to call myself a professional songwriter.
