Formed by Vasilisa Ilicheva and Thomas Carli Jarlier in the summer of 2011, The Atelier are unique band bringing together musical influences from all over the world to create their own original sound. The individual personality of each member is channeled through the music they bring to The Atelier. Whether it's the quirky Gipsy Jazz inspired Pop song 'Stars In Her Eyes', the hard hitting 'Poison', The sexy sounds of 'Gold' or the pure funk of 'Dreams Come True' The Atelier always strive to make each song sound unique while still having that distinct sound that is undeniably the Atelier. Every member of the band brings something different to the process of The Atelier. Tom CJ is a groovy drummer, Ekaterina is a delicate jazz pianist, Thomas C.A. is a naturally talented guitarist with a great sense of harmony, Yannis plays the 6 string bass and is a creative bassist. As for the vocal part of the band, Vasilisa, the lead vocalist, adds on subtlety and sensitivity with her emotional and almost classical manner. Pop… Jazz... Rock... Funk... This is not a fusion band. This is a unique mixture of styles that stands out. This is The Atelier.
