There are two bands with that name. 1. The Black Hands are a southern blues and rock band from Alfreton, UK 2. The Black Hands were a hardcore punk band from Syracuse, New York. 1. Spawned in 2010 from a fine blend of southern blues and rock formed in Alfreton, UK The Black Hands give birth to big humbucker inspired songs with very creditable substance and sustain. With an ever growing collection of original numbers The Black hands have the formula and implement it stunningly with effortless charm. The lineup consists of Andy Gannon, Dan Riley, Ben Atkins and Joe Hayes. You can view them on http://www.facebook.com/theblackhandsmusic. 2. The Black Hands were a hardcore punk band from Syracuse, New York. Formerly known as The Skeleton Crew, the band began writing harder material and felt that a name change was in place. They were active from 2003-2005, and only played a handful of shows. The band self released two records, 2004’s “The Demo”, and 2005’s “Control Strategy EP”. A retrospective CD is now available through the band, entitled “In Loving Memory Of The Black Hands”. Hadin Lemery and Matt Hall, who, after the proverbial dropout of earlier vocalist and bassist Steven Harris, performed almost all of the vocals and instrumentation on the second record, went on to become the sole members of [artits]Death List Five. Death List Five picks up where The Black Hands left off, as both Hall and Lemery were major songwriters for the group.
