There's more than one artist with the name "The Black Sheep" and yet others with the name "Black Sheep". 1. The Black Sheep was a UK avant-rock group affiliated with groups such as Red Balune, Henry Cow and Mass Culture Control Bureau. They released a classic EP in 1982 called Animal Sounds Vol. 1. Their work was reissued as part of the Mass Culture Control Bureau CD called .....Things From the Past on Ad Hoc Records. Members included: Geoff Leigh [aka Daddy Longlegs] (saxophones, vocals, guitar, organ, drums, sequencer, 1981-82, 2004-), Aloijsius van Saus [aka Red Phantome] (vocals, organ, guitar, trumpet), Colin McClure [aka Rock Steady] (bass, guitar, tuba, accordion, vocals), Ron Krepel (drums), Theo Olsthoorn (guitar), Chris Cutler (drums). 2. The Black Sheep was also a California quintet that changed its name to Trayne in 1967. 3. The Black Sheep is an alternative rock group from Cologne, Germany formed in 2005. The lineup consists of Charlotte "Charly" Klauser (vocals), Johanna "Jo" Klauser (guitar), Aurora Steffens (bass) and Patricia "Trish" Ross (drums).
