The Dirty Tricks are a four piece rock/blues/indie band from Norwich forming in 2008 they set out to make there mark on a somewhat uninspiring musical landscape, featuring members who's previous musical exploits had seem them playing venues such as the London Astoria, University of East Anglia and Norwich Waterfront and play alongside acts such as The Kings of Leon and Bloc Party to name a few after a few practice sessions thye soon hooked on to the sound that would make what you hear today! Inspired by a mix of sounds from the 60's, 70s and the best bits of the 90s they soon went on to form a strong fanbase in there local area which would soon grow on a national scale following two uk tours in support of there first single release 'The Believer', which received a good response from admirers and national press alike. This was followed up by another full uk tour in 2009 for their second release a double A side 'Free Your Soul/Come on over again' which again helped to secure their reputation as a well respected live act on the circuit in and outside of their local area, the release of this single saw the venues sizes there were being asked to play take a step up seeing them playing full shows at venues such as The 100 Club, Norwich Waterfront, The Dublin Castle and a sold out show at the Norwich Art Centre. 2010 is looking to be a good year for the tricks with a full length release in the pipeline, dates booking up fast and a new label on board this could well be the year when it all comes together!
