The Drop-Out Wives hail from the mean streets of Bispham, Blackpool. A four piece that are raw as a bloody slab of meat. A living, breathing, walking, talking rock’n’roll nightmare, every track gloriously over the top and addictive, full of dirty riffs and trippy voodoo beats, like the Ramones playing Shangri Las songs whilst having a bad trip. Formed in 2007 (formerly known as “The Side-Show Sirens”, with a line up change that saw our good friend Joey Class (of The Senton Bombs) leave 'Sirens guitar duties, and we recruited childhood friend Rixo on bass (Nat picked up the guitar instead). The ‘Wives have entertained audiences throughout the UK , with their fuzzed out garage grunge punk ‘slop-o-billy’ songs that transcend genre and range from short numbers with poppy hooks to all out outlandish improvisations. Diverse vocals in an unharmonious union with a thumping bass and heavy hitting drums. Having only recorded EP’s thus far , all limited in number (“CREEPY CRAWL”, “THE WAY I WALK”, “INVASION” and “TRA LA LA”, the ‘Wives will be releasing a further E.P. in Summer 2013, “The Drop-Out Wives…Are The Reason You Can’t Have Nice Things” under independent label, “Must Die Records” whilst they work on their first full length album, release date TBA.
