1. Best known as one half of Britain’s much loved pop rock combo Supergrass - Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey have now teamed up with world reknowned producer Nigel Godrich to bring you The HotRats. The HotRats are set to release an album of cover songs from some of their favourite artists. The Beatles song Drive My Car was used in a fragrance advert featuring Sienna Miller. 2. The Hot Rats were a short-lived five piece rock band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 2008 by former Les Incompétents bassist Olli Rose and Japanese-born vocalist Taishiro Fujita. Fujita and Rose wrote songs in a combination of Japanese and English, with influences ranging from UK indie rock to American urban music, with a bit of traditional Japanese Enka thrown in. The band split when Rose returned to England the same year but the possibility of reforming has not been ruled-out. All of the band's recordings, produced by Olli Rose, can be streamed or downloaded for free at the official website, http://thehotrats.googlepages.com/
