Rich, Russ, Chris and Lee - collectively known to their army of fans as The Jackdaws - first pooled their diverse musical talents in June 2008 in the bedroom of a terraced Shropshire house. From the ashes of an earlier band was born a new, dedicated and passionate music-making machine which has entranced people far and wide with its collection of impossibly catchy songs and unforgettable live performances. In just twelve months, The Jackdaws recorded their first EP and performed dozens of gigs across the UK from Birmingham to Edinburgh, rapidly making a name for themselves as “ones to watch”. Notching up gigs with big-name bands such as The Holloways and The Jessie Rose Trip, they have quickly become headliners in their own right, frequently playing some of the Midlands’ best music venues such as The Flapper, The Varsity, The Box and The Sound Bar. Their debut release ‘Ladies and Gentleman’ proved a hit with fans and will be followed by a second EP in December, with a string of gigs to promote the record in the New Year.
