The Joshua Hotel is the recording project of Scottish multi-instrumentalist Joshua MacKenzie, best known as the frontman of Lional. Initally created during the COVID-19 lockdown, the project debuted in early 2021 with the release of The Moments, receiving heavy praise and radio play from figures such as Vic Galloway and Jim Gellatly . This was followed by a string of singles and the release of the Closet Romantic EP in October. The project was signed to Charlie Clark's No Big Deal Music label before it's dissolution. Following a period of inactivity, the project made it's debut as a band in 2022 with guitarist Louis Slorach and drummer Joshua Gilbert. The project released it's first new material in two years, Don't You Remember in July 2023. Their second EP, Oblivion Days was released via Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow in November, with their debut album set to follow in 2024.
