'At the heart of the bands sound lies a propulsive, muscular kraut rock rhythm which drives the songs careering across the dance floor with a verve, a swagger, no little degree of panache. There is the reverbed echo of every great lost “Creation” band in the quick-silver guitar lines and sudden ecstatic leaping pangs of feed-back. If you mapped the bands genome you might find some Spaceman 3, a little of the House of Love, a soupcon of Can under the microscope. There is also diffidence in the lead vocals, a vulnerability which sits somewhat at odds with the assurance, the buoyancy of the music that surrounds it and it is this little ghost within the machine, this counter-point that provides the strange sense of emotional poignancy that lies at the heart of their music.' persona non grata
