In just a year since their first gig, The Mercy House have had one of their tracks featured in Classic Rock Magazine’s cover CD, won Metal Hammer’s unsigned competition to open for NY hardcore giants Biohazard in London, received airplay and great praise on Bruce Dickinson's Friday Rock Show (just before the end of its BBC 6 Music run) and bagged a nomination for ‘New Band of the Year’ for the 2010 Pure Rawk Awards. Their music focuses on the internal politics and personal strife facing them on a daily basis, the sole intention being to hit the UK music scene with a clenched fist. They do not offer you escapism, preferring instead to use their music and live show as a rallying call for anyone trapped on the outside, forever looking in.
