A singer, Gaelic native and clarsach player from Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides, Mischa Macpherson is joined by Conal McDonagh on Scottish border-pipes and whistles and guitarist Innes White. At 21 years old, she has performed to audiences across the globe having toured in Australia, Canada, Germany and Romania, as well as to leading UK folk festivals. In 2014 her music was brought to the forefront of the UK’s wider musical audience after a live session on BBC Radio 2 and a performance on the main stage of Fairport’s Cropredy Convention to an audience of 20,000 people, which received glowing reviews. Having grown up immersed in the distinctive culture, music, language and landscape of the Western Isles, she discovered an enjoyment in creating music at a very early age, and it is these influences that the young singer now presents with clarity and tenderness, and to multi award-winning acclaim. www.mischamacphersontrio.com/
