The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band is a seven-piece blues band based in Oxford, UK. The band play original material influenced by New Orleans Rhythm & Blues, Trinidadian Calypso and jump blues. The band was originally founded by Stuart Macbeth as a proper three piece spasm band playing jazz and skiffle on homemade banjos, ukuleles and washboards.[3]. The band released a limited edition LP "Gin & Sympathy" in December 2009 and their debut LP proper "Year of the Rabbit" was released across Europe on August 22nd 2011. The supporting tour has seen the band appear across the UK including shows at Glastonbury, Bestival, Ronnie Scott's and both the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall in London. The band released a single "Greg's Greats Record Shop" on wax cylinder on 19 April 2012 and launched their own brand of cider on 9 February 2013. Their latest album "Party Seven" was released on the Jump Steady label on 16 September 2013.
