The Oxides are a Catalonian (Spanish) garage punk rock band, formed in 2011 in Les Garrigues. The Oxides consist of guitarists Marc Jordà, bass guitarist Aleix Estradé, drummer Guillem Seró and vocalist Xabier Villafranca. The band was created after several side projects of individual members of the group as "Terrier" (punk), "Nabo de Pavo" (punk), "Alè d'All" (punk), "Arrels" (hardcore / thrash) and "The Kickapoo Liniments" (country / bluegrass). The band's sound is said to have been influenced by bands such as Eddy Current Supression Ring, The Hives, U.S. Bombs and The Bronx, among others. So far, The Oxides have not published any work.
