The Proper Ornaments

The Proper Ornaments are a London-based neo-psychedelic pop group made up of Maximo Celada Claps and James Hoare. The pair meet in a women’s clothing shop in Notting Hill Gate and then begin recording together.

In 2010, they release a 7-inch single on the San Francisco label Make a Mess. Their guitar-led pop combines indie and psychedelic elements, and their sound is compared with Felt, The Byrds and Comet Gain.
