2008 saw the formation of The Raw Kings, a joint force between ex-members of The Gems (supports with Electric Six and Snow Patrol) and The Woo Woo Witches (Glasgow rock 'n' roll renegades). The band quickly booked themselves into their local studio and set about creating their unique brand of rock n’ roll... Since their formation they have thrilled festival audiences at: Live at Loch Lomond, The Wickerman (Summer Isle Main Stage), The Wee Chill, Glasgow West End Festival, The Fringe, The Edge Festival, Canterbury Festival, Happy Valley Festival (Kilkenny Eire). In October 2009 The Raw Kings began promoting a monthly residency (called Under The Influence) at Gallus- a pub/ venue in Glasgow’s west end. Since then the night has gone from strength to strength and has attracted many accomplished performers from across the city’s scene and beyond. In July 2010 The Raw Kings recorded their debut album at Riverside Studios in Glasgow; it was released- licensed to Mister Tramp- in January this year. They have also toured Ireland and supported The Alabama 3, The Charlatans, Goldie Lookin Chain, The Futureheads and Chas and Dave. In August 2012 The Raw Kings finished recording their second album 'As Long As It Takes'. Scott left to live in Australia. As Long As It Takes was released in Jan 2013. Currently the band is promoting their second album. They are also working on writing/ demoing new material and rehearsing for future shows.
