The band released a 6-track album in November 2011, which includes the songs "Jambourine," "Love Minus Three," "Believe You Me," "Real Life," "Ellie," and "Just Like You." 2)The Wolf is a local band from the South Bay of LA county (Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach) that formed in late 2006 because of the lack of diversity in their local music scene. After recording a few demo songs the band realized they needed to record and release a full album. So they did. Their first album, Trench Jelly Picnic, was released in late July of 2008 by their friends at Enemy Car Records. The Wolf is mostly known for their strange stage antics and extremely high energy live shows. They are known for committing various stunts with all sorts of raw meat, whether it is hanging steaks from their guitars or throwing a pinata full of raw ground beef into the crowd. Their sound has been compared with various bands such as The Talking Heads, Fugazi, Pere Ubu, Rudimentary Peni, The International Noise Conspiracy, and many other bands that sound nothing alike.
