Tomorrow We Sail is a group of 7 musicians based in Leeds/Sheffield. Formed in 2009 they have spent time developing and morphing their sound into what is now a vast landscape of reverb-soaked guitars, orchestral strings, piano/accordion and multi-layered vocals. Their influences are as far-ranging as folk, slowcore, neoclassicism, minimalism, ambience, and post-rock. Their sound has, at times, been described as 'glacial', 'ethereal' and 'epic' drawing comparisons with bands such as Sigur Ros, The Low Anthem, Elbow and Gregor Samsa. After self-releasing debut EP 'The Common Fire' in 2010, the band retreated to their basement studio and rehearsal space to create the foundations of new single 'The White Rose'. This was released in November 2011 following a summer of festival performances across the UK. Looking forward into the rest of 2012, TWS have plenty of exciting plans. Work is already underway for their next release due in early Summer with another to follow later on in the year whilst plans for a Europe/UK tour in the Autumn are already in motion. TWS will also be making their first foray into film music as their tracks will be featured in movie Broken Roads currently in post-production.
