Trembling Bells is a British folk-rock group formed by drummer Alex Neilson, a musician with a strong history of free and improvised playing with several artists. Based in Glasgow, other members, in addititon to Neilson, include Lavinia Blackwall (vocals, keyboard, guitar), Mike Hastings (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and Simon Shaw (bass, vocals): Lavinia Blackwall has played previously with Neilson in Directing Hand and is a member of The Pendulums. Mike Hastings has played previously with Lavinia Blackwall in various projects including The Pendulums and is a songwriter and solo guitarist, as well as being one half of Mike and Solveig. Simon Shaw is also a member of Glasgow folk-rockers Lucky Luke. The band's albums include Carbeth (2009), Abandoned Love (2010), and The Constant Pageant (2011).
