2011 Write Up
Oxford has a tough music scene to break from, with so many tough bands to follow Very Nice Harry pull out all the stops to take their unique sound and push for that one big leap away from the pack.
With influences such as iconic Oxford Math Rock band Foals blended with a background of early Arctic monkeys the catchy riffs along with distinctive flowing vocals the band pull off a tightly wound, well constructed vibe.
VNH show that they are not afraid to experiment with new ideas that are rarely heard of, delay on Bass guitar is used to create memorable moments throughout the bands new material. High tremolo duo guitar riffs intertwine to reflect influences such as The Maccabees and as mentioned earlier, Foals.
All four members of the band seem to be synced at their live shows, putting on highly active performances which display such enthusiasm and passion which only compliments their love for what they do.
