Vri is collaborative effort between Rachael Wordhouse-Dykema and James Pereira. The band formed from James' intense desire to make Rachael play music, and one night he finally caught her in a good enough mood to con her into sitting down with a keyboard in her lap. All of their music is comprised of only keyboard and guitar, which Rachael and James each play, respectively. They only have one album, a short 4-song EP entitled Outbeat, Offtune EP, which was recorded in a single sitting, on the beige carpeting of James' old apartment, completely off the tops of their heads. No previous planning or song writing involved. Due to the whimsical nature of their forming, their shoot to fame was quickly ended, when Rachael tired of playing music and James grew upset. It's possible there may be a reunion, but at the current moment in time, it doesn't look good. Meanwhile, James Pereira has his own solo project with which he has a small following. Rachael would like to think she also has a solo project (Retro Textiles), but due to her distaste of playing music, she has no songs to show for it, and is more enamoured by the act of saying she has a solo project rather than actually having one.
