White Powder Gold, a new London-based band who are about to take over the world of indie. Their strong appreciation for dubstep, electro, R&B and hip-hop, makes them stand out from the typical long-haired, skinny jean-wearing indie crowd. Drawing influences from the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Beatles, Sizzla and Beres Hammond – WPG’s sound isn’t like anything else out there in the charts right now. Their uniqueness sets them apart from the rest. If you were to ever put White Powder Gold under a certain category, then you might find out that you have a slight problem - simply down to their eclectic sound. But they’d be happy if their CD was filed next to the Friendly Fires and N.E.R.D in HMV, though. After 12 months of recording, these future hit-makers are ready to take their music to the masses. ‘Rock n Rolla’ and ‘It’s the weekend’ are the titles of their first two singles to come off their debut EP. There will also be some exclusive dubstep remixes from the likes of Lewi White - who produced most of Devlin’s ‘Bud, Sweat & Beers silver-selling album, and Rinse.FM’s Marco Del Horno - who had recent success with the P Money-featured track, ‘Ho! Riddim’. http://www.myspace.com/whitepowdergold www.facebook.com/whitepowdergold http://twitter.com/whitepowdergold
