Will Jeffery describes his music as “beautifully shambolic”. His voice is definitely not the voice of an angel.....but that is part of his charm. The juxtaposition of gravelly vocals and chugging folk rhythms is the main ingredient for his musical pie. This doesn’t necessarily mean that all his songs sound the same, there’s real diversity in his set. One minute he’s on his own pouring out his heart to his audience with just his guitar for company, the next he’s with a full band getting people on their feet with gypsy jazz influenced number. He writes songs that people remember. The music of Will Jeffery has taken inspiration from many artists, the obvious being Jonny Cash, but The Doors, The Zombies and Buddy Holly also provide lubricant for the creative cogs in his head. Playing his own music for some time now it’s only recently that it’s become a big part of his life. He now has management and an independent record label releasing his first recordings in the form of “The Day Off EP” and with backing from his very own Montague Grizzly Quartet, it seems that Will Jeffery is set to really start making some noise. His EP is available on i tunes and other download sites on the 29th November.
