Described as “the saviour of female acoustic music” by Two Thousand Trees Festival, Zoe is a distinctive, rhythmic guitarist, using experimental tapping and harmonic techniques with intricate finger picking, in a host of open string tunings. Zoe's charismatic vocal energy hooks in the listener with memorable melodies, entangled with every emotion. Sincere lyrics tackle murderous neighbours, political comment and exposed sexuality. Past experience singing and playing guitar in prog, hardcore and metal bands has influenced her unique style. Before moving to London Zoe live in East Sussex where she hosted acoustic music nights, championing local and international acts, establishing her place on the south coast’s music scene. The majority of Zoe’s live performances and recordings take the form of a two-piece band, where Zoe is joined by long-term friend and musical collaborator Will Connor. Will brings plays an array of percussive setups, from unusual drum kit constructions to hand percussion instruments including an old kettle.
