Ben and Jerrys Double Scoop Sundae will take place in London AND Manchester this year!
It's official, Sundae 2011 will be twice as FAIR as last year with the addition of a second venue, Manchester’ s fabulous Heaton Park. Dubbed “Double Scoop Sundae”, acts and other fun will be shared between London and Manchester over two fantastic days, 23rd and 24th of July.
This year for the first time Manchester's Heaton Park will play host to Ben & Jerry’s lovers in the south. Whichever you choose, expect one hell of a weekend and the same fantastic line-up in both with bands like Maximo Park, Gary Numan, Ocean Colour Scene, Ash and many more perform. Ben & Jerry’s is launching the first ever 100% Fairtrade coconut ice cream to its range, aptly named Coconutterly Fair. The new concoction includes chocolate ice cream with coconut caramel swirls and a chocolatey caramel crunch covering.
The new flavour forms part of Ben & Jerry’s Fairtrade commitment whose pledge means that all ingredients that can be Fairtrade certified, will be by the end of 2011 in the EU, across 59 flavours and 121 different chunks and swirls. This is all part of committing to have all flavours fair-trade by 2013.
