Bures Music Festival
Formally known as Jazz by the Stour, Bures Music Festival is a celebration of all different types of music, not just jazz these days. It is a community-led summer music event which donates all profits made to local charities. Many music genres are covered including rock, pop, choral, jazz, ska and blues.
2015 is the 18th community led summer music festival taking place in the beautiful surrounds of the village of Bures on the border of Essex and Sussex. It’s taking place from 9th until 12th July and since its beginning in 1997 it has raised nearly £170,000 for charities.
The line up this year includes Tina May, Derek Nash and Larraine Odell all with The Jazznights Trio, Jo Harman & Company, Marcus Bonfanti, Space Eagle, The Stones, The Essex Blues Brothers, The Kubricks, Robbie Gladwell Band, Creme de Chevre, Bijoux Toots and some sterling tribute acts including Jive Talkin’ and Purple Rain.
