Chippenham Folk Festival

The Chippenham Folk Festival is steeped in English tradition and hugely popular. It is a famous national festival that showcases the best of folk music, dance, and song. Since its launch in 1972, it has had a unique and quintessentially English village atmosphere and turned the whole of Chippenham into one giant party.

The main ceilidh and live music concerts are held in the park by the river, and almost all venues in the town host at least one event. The festival has over 200 events, yet it still has a welcoming and intimate village feel.

Over the years, the Chippenham Folk Festival has enjoyed live music from world-renowned folk musicians and bands, including Ed Rennie, Eddy Johns, Flossie Malavaille, George Papavgeris, Hanging Johnny, INU and Jack Crawford.

In addition to music, there are craft stalls, fairs, and events designed for families and children.
