Derby Folk Festival

Derby Folk Festival, the region’s leading folk event fills the Assembly Rooms again this October – in fact it fills the venues so much that the dancing spills out onto the Market Place during the weekend!
Started in 2007 as “Derby Traditional Music & Arts Festival”, changing the name to “Derby Folk Festival” in – which was the most successful event to date.
The festival is co-produced by Derby LIVE and PR Promotions and takes place throughout every inch (25mm for those reading in metric!) of space that the Assembly Rooms has to offer. There are concerts in the Great Hall and Darwin Suite, Folk Club events in the foyers, sessions, dance displays, workshops, craft stalls – and a great atmosphere throughout the weekend.
