The Derby Folk Festival, or weekender as it's often known, is the 13th edition of the long-running event. It began as the Derby Traditional Music & Arts Festival back in 2007 and the name change came in 2010. It's organised by PR Promotions and Derby LIVE and when the venue was still usable, most of the action and activities took place within the Assembly Rooms in Derby. However, the festivities now take place primarily at The City Marquee in The Market Place.
For all the best in modern and traditional folk music, this is a good way to spend a weekend.
