Owing to the huge success of Jack Up The 80s vol4, we have decided to throw another family friendly festival for a fifth year. The purpose of Jack Up The 80s remains the same, we aim to raise valuable funds and awareness for local Island charities and good causes. With your help we managed to raise over £10,000 for Island charities at JUT80s 2016!
Attendees to the festival continue to embrace the 80s theme and as the past three years have shown, there is a real passion for reliving the good times of Frankie Says and Choose Life t-shirts, florescent headbands, leg warmers, legendary blockbuster movies and of course great music and acts like Jason Donovan and Alexander O’Neal.
We’re once again delighted to be joining forces with our media partner Wave 105. As the biggest radio station in the South Wave 105 promises “The South’s Best Variety of Hits”, delivering broad, familiar and popular music showcasing the greatest hits of the past 50 years right the way through to current day. Wave will be running a series of ticket giveaways with many of your favourite presenters appearing live on stage throughout the course of the festival weekend.
Jack Up The 80s has a new home! We have moved to a more fit for purpose site that is better suited to a live music event, with improved infrastructure, hard standing and flood lighting. Situated on the outskirts of Ryde the new venue will ensure easier access for the majority of Islanders as well as visitors from the mainland, all weather facilities and a more enclosed space ensuring a safer environment for families.
The site at Smallbrook Stadium is closer to the Island’s main transport links and shuttle buses will be provided to transport foot passengers from Ryde bus station directly to the venue.
For the first time the festival will feature an optional opening party night on the Friday for those who simply can’t wait to pull on their neon leg warmers and feel footloose.
We think you’ll all agree that the ticket price continues to be amazing value! Once again we’ve done our upmost to keep ticket costs as low as possible to ensure families have a first class weekend and remember… the earlier you buy the more you save with our “Beat the Clock” admission system.
