After successfully bringing fantastic, family fun-filled events to Kings Hill, West Malling in 2011, Music On The Hill is back with another superb three-day line-up.
The events are for an amazing cause with 100% of profits from this major event going to Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Teens Unite Fighting Cancer and The Children's Development Trust.
Headlining on Friday 19th July is Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra featuring Gilson Lavis with special guest Roland Gift - the voice of Fine Young Cannibals and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.
Saturday’s bill has two very well known acts taking to the stage. In the afternoon Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, of Brit Award-winning band McFly will be making a return to Music On The Hill after pleasing the crowd back at the 2011 event. Recently McFly have released their greatest hits album Memory Lane: The Best Of and are all set to rock the place with their many hits ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’, ‘All About You’, ‘Star Girl’ and their most recent hit ‘Love Is Easy’.
For Saturday’s evening event, the lovely and wonderful Peter Andre, who is well know for his ITV2 fly on the wall series and his popular ‘Mysterious Girl’ hit, will be entertaining the crowd.
Sundays line-up includes a whole string of names, including ‘Black Heart’ girl group Stooshe, who are known for their unique image and catchy songs. Also joining Stooshe is 2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry, Pop Idol runner-up and West End entertainer Gareth Gates, plus Kent based Ben Mills, who is known for coming in third place in the X Factor’s 2006 series. Ben has sold over 130,000 copies of his 2007 debut album ‘Picture Of You’ and is popular for playing his ‘70s and ‘80s funk/soul music. McFly’s 2011 tour support act City Stereo are ready to take to the stage, along with Cheryl, Mike and Jay – formerly of Bucks Fizz, The Counterfeit Stones and finally Queen tribute act Killer Queen will complete Sundays huge line-up. Capital FM weekend breakfast and Nickelodeon presenter Dave Berry will also be making an appearance.
