The biggest festival in Kent is back this year with a star-studded line-up! The Sound Island Festival returns with a two-day event, being held at Quex Park, near Margate, Kent on the summer weekend of July 27th-July 28th.
On Saturday’s bill, rapper Plan B – real name Ben Drew, whose hits include ‘She Said’ and ‘Love Goes Down’, will headline the event. Rita Ora is also set to take to the stage and with three number ones under her belt in the past two years, the ‘How We Do (party)’ singer is sure to get the crowd excited. Along side these two hit artists is X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur, exciting and influential rapper Giggs, Bebe Black and Little Nikki, who is on MTV’s ’10 to watch in 2013’ list.
Sunday’s event is just as exciting, with the amazing Jessie J headlining the event. Jessie is no stranger to success, with having had hits including ‘Do It Like A Dude’, ‘Price Tag’ and ‘Domino’ – to name a few. Her unique soul vocals and having taken a seat as a judge on BBC1’s show The Voice last year, it’s clear to see that the 24 year olds talents are endless. Boy band Lawson, whose songs, including ‘When She Was Mine’ have had non-stop airtime on the radio for the past year are also set to grace the stage. It is going to be a double boy band whammy for event goers when 2012 X Factor finalists Union J also appear at this year’s event. This years line-up couldn’t get any better or BIGGER, but with more acts to still be announced it sure will!
