The Tenterden Folk Festival is a long running celebration of folk music, song, dance, traditions and crafts. As 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the Tenterdenon Folk Festival, they will be hosting a selection of extra concerts as well as a lunchtime song and music session and a special evening session. As with every year, the 2017 festival will be held at a number of different venues accross Tenterden in the historic Weald of Kent, which lies about 12 miles west of the town Ashford.
As 2017 is the landmark 25th anniversary of the festival, there is even more guests at the Tenterden Folk Festival than previous years. Guests at this year's festival that have been confirmed so far include:

There are a variety of great accomodation around Tenterden and the surrounding areas, from private bed and breakfasts and small hotels. Many of these have been used by festivalgoers in the past and are listed with other convenient places on the official website. It is easy to travel to and from Tenterton by either car or bus.
Car
The town is around 12 miles west of Asford and is situated on the A28. If you are using a satnav, you should use the postcode for the Town Hall, TN30 6AN, as this will take you straight into the town centre. From there you will be able to find a public pay and display car park close by.
Buses
There are buses that run to Tenterden from Hastings, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford and various other places.
Train
Headcorn and Ashford International are the closest railway stations and taxis and buses are available from both of these.
