Leicestershire is set to welcome a brand new major music festival next summer as Texfest lands at Market Harborough Showground from 29 June – 1 July 2018. Texfest is a 3 day music festival that will welcome a host of chart-topping acts in the setting of the Leicestershire countryside. Organisers are also keen to ensure that the festival is welcoming to the many families who are local to the event and have programmed a range of entertainment during the day with a wide variety of food and drinks stalls and a huge funfair for all ages to enjoy!

BY COACH
To be announced
BY TRAIN AND SHUTTLE BUS
A bus shuttle will operate from Market Harborough Rail station and Northampton Rail station. Please head to national rail to find out times and routes for your journey to Market Harborough or Northampton.
BY CAR
Please follow road signs to Texfest. Please do not use your SAT NAV as road closures will interrupt its usual way of getting to the destination. Please be patient when entering and exiting the festival and make sure you are fit to drive post festival frivolities, stewards will be checking.
ON FOOT
Please use public foot paths and use the camping entrance and box office gate.
TAXIS
Taxis will be available from the drop off/ pick up point.
DISABLED ACCESS FACILITIES
Disabled access camping is available. Please note that Disabled Access Campsite applications close 31st may 2018 before the festival.
Disabled access facilities, PA/Carer tickets and Disabled parking is also available by calling the box office.
To apply for the used of Disabled Access facilities, please fill out one of our Access Requirements Forms, which can be acquired by calling the box office or filling out the contact us page.

PA/CARER TICKETS
Pa/Carer tickets can be requested on your application form. If you purchase a standard ticket for your Pa/Carer this cannot be refunded or exchanged if you are approved for a Pa/Carer ticket.
You and your Carer must enter the festival together to collect your wristbands for the event.
Please note that the person you choose to attend the festival with you as your Pa/Carer must be able to help you in the event of an emergency or evacuation. We reserve the right to reject your Carer should they not be able to carry out this role.
ARENA FACILITIES
There will be disabled entrance lanes into the arena for disabled customers and their party.
Toilets: There are Disabled Access toilets located within the Arena.
STAYING GREEN
GREEN TRAVEL
With such a large amount of people travelling to/from the festival, transportation makes up a huge portion of our total carbon emissions. You can save money, help the environment, and make friends by using either of these travel schemes:
Liftshare is a great way of alleviating some stress from your journey while reducing road congestion and pollution – not to mention the cost!
NO GLASS POLICY
No glass is permitted on the festival site. Not only does this protect the festival site but it also protects you from potentially harming yourself. Please decant any liquids you plan to bring from glass bottles into plastic ones before you arrive.
GREEN CAMPING
On arrival to the site you will be given a clear plastic bag for recycling. Please use it. You’ll help keep our site clean and keep Texfest green! When you have filled you bag, bring it to any of the recycling points on the map, where you can exchange it for a new one. Please use your own bin bags for general waste.
Recyclable Waste – Aluminium cans, plastic bottles, , newspapers, cardboard, magazines.
COMPOST IT
There will be a number of food waste bins around the festival for you to discard any of your recyclable food waste. Please no plastic though!
TAKE YOUR BELONGINGS HOME
If you would like to hire a tent rather than bring your own, hire tents are available here Pop up Hotel.
Please pack light and remember that everything you bring with you, you need to take home again. You won’t be so happy to drag everything back to the car with you come Monday.
If you have any broken camping equipment, be it chairs, gazebos, tents, empty batteries, please donate them to the Recycling Points so we can deal with them properly.
If you would like to donate your tent to charity, please pack it up at the end of the festival and take it to your local charity shop. Please don’t leave it in the field.
