With a history that dates back to 1965, this long-running 5-day music festival has offered fantastic music in the small village of Towersey. Towersey Festival is a celebration of musical roots, and it takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, providing the perfect end to the summer.
It developed significantly from the one-day event in 1965, and whilst it has folk at the roots, it has become more eclectic, inviting a wider range of artists from singer-songwriters to poets and acoustic sets to street theatre performers.
A children’s festival is also working in the programme to keep younger festival-goers interested.
