Wath Festival
Started in 1972 the Wath Festival has always had a core focus on fantastic music, strong community spirit and providing a great experience for all that attend. Many big names in roots music have attended Wath in past years including Fairport Convention Lau, Adrian Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds and Chas n Dave. It also includes the unique tradition of Bunthrowing from the church tower which dates back over two centuries.
In 2015 there are 40 acts to be confirmed and those already confirmed include Eddi Reader, While and Matthews, Blackbeard's Tea Party, Bob Fox, Rusty Shackle, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar, Geoff Lakeman, Annabelle Chvostek, Sam Kelly, Rob Heron and the Tea Pad Orchestra, Steve Tilston with many more still to be announced.
This year is the 43rd Wath Festival.
