The annual folk festival in the Dorset town of Wimborne Minster will be held over the weekend of 7, 8, 9 June 2013.
Wimborne Minster Folk Festival promises three days of 'folk, family and fun', with the much-loved mix of dance displays, family activities, workshops and stalls returning to the historic minster town's streets.
Meanwhile, the concerts at the Allendale Centre will showcase superb live music from artists spanning the current folk spectrum.
This year will feature a large Childrens area on Willow Walk. Included will be a range of free activities, from circus skills to story telling sessions, and much more!
Free workshops for all the family will take place at the Community Learning and Resource Centre.
The festival campsite is being organised by Wimborne Town Football Club. The campsite is just a few minutes walk from the town centre and has a lovely view over the Dorset countryside.
The cost is £10 per tent per night. Although it might be possible to turn up on the day and find an available spot, we strongly recommend booking your camp space in advance, follow the link below to book your pitch. You'll be given a booking reference which you need to show at the campsite entrance.
Please park your car / caravan on the hard standing beside the pitch and not on the grass. Only tents are allowed on the grass.
Showers are available at no extra charge, but there's no lighting on the campsite, it is advised to bring a torch to find your way to the toilets at night.
For safety reasons, no fires, barbecues or glassware are allowed on site.
Campers will get use of the football club's clubhouse, with its bar and social space. We will be holding our Friday night Ceilidh in the clubhouse, the skittle alley will be available for anyone wanting to have a music session on Saturday evening.
The clubhouse will be running breakfast service from 8.30am until 11am on Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June.
