Explosions In The Sky are set to light up Green Man Festival 2011 as the second superb headline act for this summer’s festival

Confirmed as the Friday night headliners at Green Man Festival 'Explosions in the Sky' whose new album 'Take Care, Take Care' is out in April will join Fleet Foxes at the top of the bill with a UK exclusive festival set.
One of the most intense live bands on the planet, Explosions In The Sky’s epic, instrumental mini-symphonies wring new possibilities out of the tired old two guitars, bass and drums formula, expect power, passion, drama and mind-melting beauty in equal measure. 

Other confirmed artists are The Low Anthem who are riding high on a wave of critical acclaim for new LP Smart Flesh as they mark their first-ever Green Man with a main stage support slot. 

Also appearing are Holy F*ck with an amazing live show they shun laptops and programmed backing beats in favour of live drums, 35mm film and toy keyboards to create their awe-inspiring electronica.

Rising folk star, Hannah Peel, a classically trained pianist with an ear for an infectious beat and a voice as pure as a mountain stream will be bringing her beautiful sound to Green Man. 

More acts announced are Lia Ices, The Leisure Society, Admiral Fallow, Duotone, Driver Drive Faster, Ute, Oh Ruin, The Doozer and Treecreeper. View the line up so far here.

The Green Man festival is set in the glorious surroundings of the Gladusk Park Estate. This truly magical setting is host to an amazing folk orientated festival, a place of beautty that everyone should see and be a part of. 2011 is the 9Th year of The Green Man Festival, expect a great mix of music genre ranging from folk, rock, reggae, dance and much more.
