TENNESSEE FIELDS FESTIVAL is delighted to announce that the exciting and exceptionally talented Tenille Arts will be their 2022 headline act, topping a fabulous roster of UK and US artists.

Joining the previously announced Jackson Michelson, The Wandering Hearts, Jade Helliwell, The Rising, Two Ways Home and Allie Marie Hunter, Tenille is heading a line-up of established and emerging artists.

Named by Rolling Stone as one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,” being inducted as one of the prestigious CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and having achieved bona fide hits on country radio in the US with both the #1 Somebody Like That and her 2021 release, Back Then, Right Now, Tenille is riding high with an exciting year ahead. Somebody Like That has been certified platinum in the US and made history as the first #1 country single written, produced and performed by an all-female cast, fitting in perfectly with Tennessee Field’s female friendly ethos.

Other new artists added to the roster are Essex based Shaun Samonini and Roisin O’Hagan, both to play full band sets on the main stage, The Folly Brothers, returning for a second year to bring a bluegrass party to the acoustic stage and Southend based Adam Brucass. The hugely popular Honky Tonk Roadshow, featuring Gary Quinn, Jade Helliwell and Kezia Gill will be headlining the Friday night party once again, getting everyone into the festival spirit!

“We are so delighted to finally be able to welcome a US female headline artist back to the festival this summer and Tenille Arts, who is progressing rapidly into the top tier of country artists in the States, is the perfect fit. The exceptional artists across the full line-up perform country rock, traditional country, country pop, bluegrass music and acoustic singer-songwriting, so there really is something for everyone at Tennessee Fields and we just cannot wait to see everyone back on the site and enjoying the music.”  Georgie Thorogood, Festival Director.

On its debut, the festival was listed in The Telegraph and The Times’ top UK festival features, garnered multiple award nominations including a UK Festival Awards shortlisting, and was crowned the UK Country Music Showcase awards Best Festival 2019. The 2021 event, although subject to restrictions, brought happiness to an excited and enthusiastic crowd following the first 18 months of pandemic chaos. The beautiful open-air venue at Sandy Brook Fields on the outskirts of Chelmsford, and flexible outlook of the festival team ensured it was a safely run, low risk event which gave many people their first chance to experience live music again at a time of national lockdowns.

The final artists on the roster are due to be announced over the coming months and the festival is set to return bigger and better than ever, having weathered the last two years with resilience and positivity. A fresh look awaits the attendees at the 2022 festival, alongside top-quality American style food, drinks and entertainment including a rodeo bull, Ferris Wheel and shopping area, as well as the popular line-dancing session. Grassroot activities such as the songwriter’s workshop and the songwriting masterclass will return in 2022 to continue to support younger and emerging artists. The Friday night party will once more kick off the festival, with karaoke and live music galore, and it will all take place in the beautiful Essex countryside, less than an hour from London.
