Boxfresh announced as Fashion Sponsor of 2012 NME

British lifestyle brand, Boxfresh will be the official fashion partner of the annual NME Awards for the second consecutive year.

The agreement sees Boxfresh sponsor the prestigious 'Best New Band' category of the nationwide NME Awards Tour and the NME Awards Shows in London in the run up to the main event on 24th February.

Jade Garrow, Head of Marketing of Boxfresh says: 'Boxfresh has a great musical heritage of supporting up and coming talent. After the success of last year’s partnership between Boxfresh and The NME Awards, we’re looking forward to being involved for the second consecutive year as Official Fashion Partner and sponsor of ‘The Best New Band’. The synergy between Boxfresh and NME is a perfect fit, and we're delighted to be supporting one of the most recognised and sought after awards in British music’

Boxfresh are the British streetwear originators, spanning over two decades of youth culture. Supporting innovative new music has always been at the heart of the Boxfresh brand; and the partnership with NME offers an important new platform in this continuing tradition.

Boxfresh whole heartedly endorses ‘The Best New Band’ category which represents an ideal environment for nurturing talent, with the vast majority of nominees going on to achieve great success in their chosen musical fields. Last year's nominations for 'The Best New Band' included artists such as Beady Eye and The Drums battling it out, with Hurts ultimately being crowned the NME favourite.

Building on the heritage and credibility of the NME brand, the NME Awards celebrates brilliant music across the board – from some of the best new bands, to returning icons and influential legends – recognising the best in new music from 2011 and setting the agenda for the year to come.
