Victorious Festival is delighted to announce their final wave of acts for the event over August Bank Holiday. Legendary English songwriter, Ray Davies, leads the way alongside Johnny Marr, Primal Scream and the recently reunited Super Furry Animals.
Last year Victorious Festival welcomed 70,000 visitors to their beautiful festival site on Southsea Seafront and this year looks set to be bigger than ever with a lineup that is fit to burst with household names. Ray Davies’ headline set at Victorious will be one of only a limited number of dates this summer. Legendary status is the order of the day with Johnny Marr bringing tracks from his two acclaimed solo albums alongside past classics via his time in The Smiths and Electronic to the South Coast, Super Furry Animals celebrating their reunion and the reissue of their Commons approved Mwng album via greatest hits sets and Primal Scream following a tenth studio album and Screamadelica shows with a high profile appearance.
The Subways, Cast and The Mystery Jets add to the strong line-up, whilst The Sunshine Underground will be bringing along their blend of psychedelic infused pop to the Southsea Seafront. Feeder frontman Grant Nicolas, who released his debut solo album is 2014, will also be delighting the crowds, along with Dave McCabe of The Zutons who has new material out this year. Completing the lineup are hotly tipped newcomers and NME Tour highlight Wytches, Michelle Stowdart from The Magic Numbers, Etta Bond, Isaiah Dreads, Kim Churchill and Fickle Friends.
Festival Director, Andy Marsh, commented, “We couldn’t be more pleased with the lineup that has come together this year. To have household names like Ray Davies performing will be a really special moment! Last year we had 70,000 festivalgoers on site and we’re hoping to build on that this year with the fantastic range of acts that we’ve confirmed. ”
With tickets priced at just £25 per day, Victorious Festival continues to be one of the best value festivals in the UK this summer. Not only does the festival enjoy a fantastic beachside location on Southsea Seafront, but your festival ticket also offers access to a range of seafront attractions, including Southsea Castle and Blue Reef Aquarium. There’ll even be an on site beer.
