On Sunday 8th September, Kent’s beautiful Joss Bay in Broadstairs (near Margate) will welcome world renowned dance brand Ministry of Sound to host ‘The Bunker’ tent with acts including Noisia, Redlight, DJ Zinc, Barely Legal and more.

Kent’s leading music and action sports festival, Wheels and Fins (7th - 8th September 2019) has announced that global dance powerhouse, Ministry of Sound, will take over ‘The Bunker’ dance tent on Sunday 8th September. The mega club brand brings a giant line-up of house, bass and garage stars, including Noisia, Redlight, DJ Zinc, Barely Legal, Emerald, Harriet Jaxxon, Just Geo, Chris Thomas and a full live set from Killer Hertz. Situated at the stunning Joss Bay in Broadstairs, Kent, Wheels and Fins is a boutique, beachside festival that mixes up quality music alongside the best bits of skate and surf culture.

The seventh edition of Wheels and Fins is set to be the best yet with a new, larger site, and a carefully curated mix of sporting and musical fun. Entertainment-wise, guests can look forward to some special demos from the best pro-skateboarders in the scene as they battle in the ‘UK Mini Ramp Champs’ and, for the first time at Wheels and Fins, a number of pro-skaters will showcase their nerves of steel as they take to the 12.5ft vert ramp. Elsewhere, the programme is packed with a wealth of activities including, axe throwing, beach yoga, sand sculpting, SUP racing and surf competitions, plus a food village of mouthwatering street food for a much needed refuel.

Musically, Wheels and Fins mixes the best in live and electronic music over 3 stages. Already announced for the 2019 event is the pioneering drum ‘n’ bass label, Hospital Records, who’ll bring stars such as S.P.Y, Kings Of The Rollers, Logistics, Nu:Tone, Etherwood, Whiney, Uncle Dugs, Inja, Dynamite MC and Degs to ‘The Bunker’ on Saturday 7th September. The live lineup for the ocean-facing main stage, is yet to be announced, but if last year’s talent of The Libertines and Echo and The Bunnymen are anything to go by, there is another treat in store.

To the Sunday of the 2019 festival, Wheels and Fins is thrilled to announce that Ministry of Sound will take the reins from Hospital Records and turn ‘The Bunker’ into a Ministry superclub. The Ministry of Sound brand is a real icon of dance music having been one of the world’s most famous clubs for nearly three decades, all while putting out some definitive compilations and hosting the best DJs in the game. It brings its party know-how to Wheels and Fins with a lineup including the Dutch trio, Noisia, whose genre hopping productions from house to dubstep has seen them sign to label’s including deadmau5’s mau5trap and Skrillex’s OWSLA; the party-starting Redlight, guaranteed to bring a broad array of tricks; garage supremo and legend of the game, DJ Zinc; the cross-genre contemporary sensation, Barely Legal, a not-to-be-missed full live set from drum ‘n’ bass trio, Killer Hertz, plus loads more beats from Emerald, Harriet Jaxxon, Just Geo and Chris Thomas.
