Festival Crowd Header

Experience the ultimate festival getaway with Shrewsbury Folk Festival's all-inclusive ticket that promises four days of non-stop music, dance, workshops, and family-friendly activities. Find out what's in store for you at this year's event!

Your All-Inclusive Festival

If you're wondering if Shrewsbury is the festival for you or if it's your first time visiting this year, just what can you expect? Here's the lowdown of everything included in your ticket...

Four Days of Music on Four Stages

More than 60 concerts on four stages over four days! Folk, Americana, world music, a special Scottish focus - the list is extensive and really does offer something for everyone. Explore our day splits or learn more about the line-up here.

Dance, Dance and More Dance

At the heart of our festival, the dance tent is buzzing from morning 'til night. Start off with the daily yoga and then strut your stuff at one of the 11 ceilidhs, bals or contra dance. Or get your groove on at the Folk DJ Disco set.

And then there's dance shows, the chance to learn some moves in dance workshops, displays from morris and dance teams, a late night fancy dress ceilidh and the annual dance party. It could be a festival all of its own!

Workshops and Activities

Fancy a pilates session to limber up for all that dancing? The chance to meet other festivalgoers if you're travelling solo? A bit of a knit and knatter in our crafting sessions? We have dozens of workshops and activities you can get involved with.

*NEW* this year will be laughter yoga, Shane's Singo Bingo and a festival choir! We'll share the full workshop programme nearer the festival.

Sessions and Singarounds

The Siskin Folk Club is our dedicated venue for music and song sessions. Grab your instrument, bring your voice and join in.

Tuneworks and Music Workshops

Tuneworks is the place for players at all levels to tap into the expertise of our tutors. You'll find one-off and progressive workshops and individual instruments workshops as well as sessions in the Goldfinch tent, the home of Tuneworks.

Pandemonium! Childrens' Festival

Parents will be lucky to drag the kids away from Pandemonium!, our festival for children from birth to 10. This year we're bringing a carnival theme to the party - find out more.

Refolkus Youth Festival

Refolkus is THE place to hang out with your mates, make new ones, learn new skills or challenge yourself if you're aged 11-20. Whether making noise is your jam, dropping some dance floor moves, unleashing your inner artist or simply relaxing – Refolkus has got it all.

On Site Camping

No trekking miles to a campsite or having to get a bus at Shrewsbury! Here you can camp in the heart of the action so you're never far from anything. It's mostly nice and flat and built-in roadways make it easy to get around.

And there's no paying for a pitch depending on whether you're in a tent, caravan or camper van - just buy a camping festival ticket and you're good to go. There's free hot showers and loads of loos too.

Accessible Facilities

We want everyone to have the BEST time at Shrewsbury. We have viewing platforms and designated viewing areas in marquees, an electric shuttle to transport you between stages, accessible toilets, showers and camping areas to name but a few. Find out more about our accessibility measures.

Fantastic Festival Vibe

“Love how chilled out and family-friendly it is”

“The vibes, there is this happy air all the time, and it feels safer and more respectful than other types of festivals!”

“The unbelievable atmosphere throughout the weekend - everyone is in a brilliant mood due to the amazing things going on.”

Dog Friendly

There's no additional charge to bring your friendly well-behaved pooch along to join in the festival fun. We just ask that they're kept under control, on leads and don't go into our covered venues. Cleaning up after them goes without saying!

Fabulous Food and Drink

You're very welcome to bring your own food and drink so you really don't have to spend another penny when you're here. But there's also the best festival shop in case you've forgotten anything. And with SIX real ale and cider bars, a double-decker cocktail bus and an incredible range of caterers in our fabulous food village, there's a lot of tasty treats or tipples to choose from!
