Young people from all over the UK will be in for treat when We Are The Ocean take to the stage to headline the main stage at Butserfest 2013 on Saturday 14 September.

The Essex band - who have appeared as special guests with Muse on tour in Portugal, Switzerland and Italy this year - are Butserfest veterans and make a welcome return for their third appearance (having played in 2009 and 2010).

Their third studio album, 'Maybe Today, Maybe Tomorrow', is out now and has had a four K review from Kerrang! magazine and 7/10 from NME, who called the the album 'a surprising triumph, full of catchy choruses and chunky riffs'.

Also announced are Arcane Roots, who have supported Muse in Switzerland and Italy and released their debut album 'Blood & Chemistry' in April.

They will appear with two bands from Bristol, fan-favourites We Start Partys and A Tale Of Two Cities.

That means the main stage lineup for the alcohol/drug-free festival is currently: We Are The Ocean; Mallory Knox; Fearless Vampire Killers; Natives; Arcane Roots; Attention Thieves; Max Raptor; Subsource; We Start Partys and A Tale Of Two Cities.

A school band from The Petersfield School, Horndean Technology College or Eggar's in Alton will be added to the main stage lineup after voting closes on Friday 12 July. Go to www.butserfest.co.uk/vote-here/ to pick your favourite and cast your vote.

The alternative stage will include: Bleed From Within - winners of the Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for Best New Band; Heights; Hacktivist; Marmozets; Continents; Palm Reader; The Valiant; Now, Voyager and Aurora

'We're proud to welcome back We Are The Ocean to the main stage.

'When I saw them last, in 2010, I knew it would only be a matter of time before they were at the top of the bill for Butserfest.'
