Historic Royal Palaces and IMG are thrilled to announce Amy Macdonald and Corinne Bailey Rae have been added to the line-up for this year’s Hampton Court Palace Festival
Both acts will perform at the festival for the first time, as part of the events 25th anniversary celebrations. The iconic summer festival takes place between Thursday 8th – Saturday 24th June and brings world-class acts to a spectacular setting. Artists will perform to a beautiful backdrop in Henry VIII’s open air Base Court for an intimate audience of 3,000.
Described as the ‘Bewitching Queen of British Soul’, Corinne Bailey Rae will be performing at Hampton Court on Tuesday 20th June. She released her self-titled debut album in 2006, debuting at #1 in the UK and #4 in the USA. In 2016, she returned with her third album which has received critical acclaim. With over 5 million albums sold, Corrine has been awarded two Grammys and nominated for multiple BRIT, MOBO and BET awards. Performing global hits such as ‘Put Your Records On’ and ‘Like A Star’, as well as songs from her latest album, it will be an unmissable R&B performance at the Palace.
Amy Macdonald comes to Hampton Court Palace Festival on 9th June for a night filled of beautiful pop-folk songs. The Scottish singer-songwriter, still only 29 years old, has released three albums and sold over five million records worldwide, including 1.5 million here in the UK. Her single “This Is The Life” from the album of the same name was hugely successful, reaching #1 in five European countries. As part of her first UK tour in four years, Amy will perform fan favourites old and new, including songs from her new album ‘Under Stars’ which debuted at #2 in the UK charts.
Other artists confirmed to perform at the 25th anniversary of the summer festival include Will Young, Bryan Ferry, Van Morrison, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, James Morrison, Jools Holland, Rick Astley, Björn Again and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
