The announcement of Steve Bug, Tobi Neumann and mulletover’s own Geddes has already sparked a frantic flurry to acquire tickets for mulletover’s Halloween party on the 29th October.
These three prestigious acts would be enough for most of you, however we can now announce that they will be joined by a further the noteworthy names - Guy Gerber, Andrew Weatherall and Ivan Smagghe.
Completing the line-up in Room One is owner of the acclaimed Supplement Facts imprint, Israel native Guy Gerber who has been responsible for some of the biggest records in recent memory. With style that ´s anything but conventional, he’s been drawn into some of Europe ´s most popular labels; three years after his recording debut, Gerber released the first of several records on John Digweed ´s Bedrock imprint. A couple of years later, Sven Väth signed him to Cocoon, eventually releasing his album ‘Late Bloomers’. More recently he ´s embarked on his most unexpected project yet: an album with P Diddy, ‘11:11’ who hired him for some remixes and took him on more permanently after hearing the results, enhancing his reputation as a shrewd production force.
Louche make an impactful impression of the mulletover crew as they pull out all the stops with Andrew Weatherall and Ivan Smaggge for a very Wrong Meeting. Gentleman and scholar, engaging raconteur with a huge record collection Weatherall is loved and renowned for his involvement in label/magazine/club night Boys Own, an integral part of electronic trio Sabres of Paradise, forming post-punk electro duo Two Lone Swordsmen and later set up the much loved, Rotter’s Golf Club label. However it will always be his production work on Primal Scream’s seminal Screamadelica that will ensure his exalted position. His counterpart for the evening Ivan Smagghe has become the crème de la crème of Anglo-French dance music and imposed a new vision of leftfield electronica. Standing at the crossroads between glamorous Parisian hype and musical integrity he is credited with making a name for the electroclash genre. Formerly a member of dark Output signed duo Black Strobe, Smagghe is first and foremost, a DJ and one who has the respect of nearly every selector in the game today. Louche residents Brinsley Kazak, Josh T, Tom Frank complete the line-up.
Halloween is by far the biggest party of the year for mulletover, selling out last years show (2500 tickets) a month before the night. This year sees the event open to even more people in a bigger space, which perfectly suits the party with two rooms of music, an amazing sound and lighting system, and enough space to transform the venue into a world of Halloween horrors.
